Last week, we hosted multiple family dinners at our home. My parents came to town to visit and to enjoy their second Thanksgiving (they are from Canada where Thanksgiving is in October), and we also celebrated two family birthdays -- one being for my dad who turns 85 this month!
Needless to say, there was much cooking to be done. Thankfully, we had many precious moments in the kitchen and around our table to hold close and cherish.
So many of the ways we live and love begin in our kitchens.
And, how we were or weren’t nourished in our childhood kitchens shapes every aspect of our lives today.
Our kitchens can become a place to nourish, gather, connect, heal, and most of all share and create the ongoing stories of our lives.
It is in the kitchen where we can also find our way home to our true selves.
In my conversation with Jules Blaine Davis (AKA The Kitchen Healer), in this brand new episode of SATIATE, Jules invites us all into the messy beauty of her healing kitchen and asks, “What are you really hungry for?”
LISTEN AND HEAR:
How it is through the kitchen that we can find healing from the stress, overwhelm, and trauma that so many of us carry.
The discovering of our own personal stories as our inner homecoming
A gentle reminder when you are feeding everyone else, to also ask yourself: "What you are hungry for?"
And a little tidbit about my cereal milk ice cream experience!

With the holidays before us, a time that can feel stressful and overwhelming for many, as well as likely some extra time in the kitchen, I thought this episode would be a potent reminder for all of us.
Have a listen, and let me know how your kitchen healing continues to unfold.
Much Love,
