At certain junctures in our journeys, we all crave inspiration, wisdom, new teachings, and wise guidance. This continual growth and transformation serve as fertile ground for expansion and enhancing capacity in our lives.
For over two decades, I've been in private practice, holding space to empower individuals on their food journey while the delve into the intricate landscapes of their inner worlds.
While I'm often eager to incorporate new tools and inspirations into my practice, there have been periods when I wondered if everything was working well just the way it was.
I did hang out there for a good while, and it was great. Then, something really interesting happened.
Enter: Internal Family Systems (IFS).
About a year ago, I began exploring the therapeutic model of IFS, and I was utterly amazed by its impact on my life.
After working with IFS personally, I delved into studying this model through the IFS Institute.
As I experimented with gradually incorporating this into my client work, I've witnessed profound results.
As some of you have experienced, I have been weaving IFS foundations into my nutrition practice, now called Food Therapy.
Also, I have coined a different way to work with me (that many clients were already doing), which I now call Freedom Coaching.
Freedom Coaching is like a compass on your journey of self-discovery, empowering you to break free from limitations by tapping into your inner wisdom.
Recently, when a renowned IFS therapist reached out to join me on SATIATE, I felt a resounding YES!
Terry, Barankski is an exceptional practitioner and teacher and joins me in a conversation that I believe you'll find truly enriching.
I'm excited to share this brand-new episode with you today.
Meet Terry Baranski:
Terry Baranski is a trauma-informed Internal Family Systems (IFS) practitioner who focuses on root causes rather than symptoms. Terry works one-on-one, and in groups, with people all over the world – to help them go underneath their behaviors, thought patterns, and diagnoses to address what is causing problems in their lives. He uses a compassionate, non-judgmental, and non-pathologizing approach that is well-suited to effect real change - whether your challenges manifest in relationships, with parenting, or at work. His goal is to enable a level of deep healing that allows each of us to recover our true self, which is always present - even when hidden by maladaptive patterns.
Terry believes that self-healing is a natural function of any organism, and facilitates a process of assisted self-discovery to untangle trauma dynamics, and to restore harmony and balance to the inner system
He’s also the father of a wonderful 6 year-old girl who's into dinosaurs, playgrounds, and Peppa Pig. He loves walking and climbing, and he’s a pretty serious dark chocolate truffle snob to boot.
Happy Listening!
