How are you feeling?
It has been a very devastating week in the world of women's health, women’s reproductive rights, and body autonomy, as we watch this confusing post–Roe era emerge.
While there is much to do going forward, there is also much to feel amid it all.
Personally, I have been in utter shock (even though we saw this coming) that such a draconic decision could even be possible in the year 2022. Like many of you, I have felt a rainbow of emotions –– sadness, rage, confusion, fear, anxiety, and even pure helplessness.
As things unfold over the coming days and weeks, we will learn what it means to take informed, strategic, and meaningful action –– for women and for reproductive justice.
Are you noticing a dominant response in your body? Fight (I’m off to protest), flight (I’m moving to Canada), freeze (I’m in shock), collapse (I’m completely overwhelmed, drained, and feeling numb)? Or maybe even apathy or relief? Or possibly, a combination of many of the above? 🙋🏽♀️🙋🏻🙋♀️
In my evolving inquiry, I am learning how our bodies express emotion and trauma in many different ways.
While most of us are still in the feeling phase (that's where I am, along with in shock), I wanted to share with you a very timely brand new episode of SATIATE, with special guest and Boulder local, Dr. Arielle Schwartz.
